About mySupermarket Insights

mySupermarket Insights is committed to protecting Users' privacy. It will only use the information that it collects about Users lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and other applicable data protection laws in the UK). mySupermarket Insights collects information about Users to provide Users with the best possible service and to provide Users with related services and marketing from mySupermarket Insights (but not from third parties without Users' consent).

mySupermarket Limited, a company registered in England under number 5920495 with its registered office at Manchester House, 86 Princess Street, Manchester, M1 6NG, England ("mySupermarket Insights"), is the operator of the website www.mySupermarket-insights.co.uk (the "Website").

In this Privacy Policy, references to "User" means any person submitting data to mySupermarket Insights or to this Website about himself or herself or about any other living individual in respect of any use of the Website or the service available through the website ("Service"). References to "User Organisation" mean the organisation that a User represents or acts on behalf of or through.

Data collected by mySupermarket Insights

mySupermarket Insights's privacy policy ensures that any information provided by a User remains private and secure. To reassure Users, below mySupermarket Insights provides details of the information a User provides to mySupermarket Insights, and how it will and, more importantly, will not be used. mySupermarket Insights will never collect sensitive information about a User without a User's explicit consent. To the best of our ability, the information mySupermarket Insights holds will be accurate and up to date and reflect the data a User has provided to us. A User can check the information that mySupermarket Insights holds about him, her or the User Organisation by contacting mySupermarket Insights (and there may be an administrative fee payable for this). If a User finds any inaccuracies mySupermarket Insights will delete or correct it promptly.

When a Client or User registers for the Service or for participation in any free functionality on or through the Website he or she may be asked to provide various personal details such as their first name, last name, email address, telephone number, User Organisation, position in User Organisation, and details of how that User heard about the Service, etc. ("Initial Details").

mySupermarket Insights has an absolute discretion to decide whether or not to accept any a registration. Initially, the Initial Details will be used by mySupermarket Insights only to decide whether or not to contact the User or Client to discuss the Service. If mySupermarket Insights decides not to contact the User or Client, then the Initial Details will not be used for any other purpose and will be deleted within 2 months of their having been supplied.

If mySupermarket Insights does contact the User or Client, then it will use the Initial Details (which includes any details provided by the User during that contact) as part of its decision as to whether or not to accept such registration. If mySupermarket decides not to accept such registration, then the Initial Details will not be used for any other purpose and will be deleted within 2 months of the contact by mySupermarket Insights.

If mySupermarket Insights does accept the registration, then in respect of the Initial Details and in respect of any other details that mySupermarket Insights collects, mySupermarket Insights collects these details so that it may:

1. contact the User during and after the provision of free functionality to help explain the Service;
2. determine who the main contact is in the User Organisation and their position within the User Organisation;
3. provide support and respond to any queries the User may have about the Service;
4. find the right subscription package for the User Organisation or the User;
5. arrange subscription to the Service and put in place invoicing arrangements with the User Organisation or the User;
6. track sales made by the User Organisation or the User; and
7. use the information for mySupermarket Insights's marketing purposes and to contact and call a User in respect of marketing and sales. This may also include market research.

Where a User subscribes for the Service mySupermarket Insights will also collect payment details and the address of the User Organisation and Users.

mySupermarket Insights will never provide any personal details to third parties outside its group unless in anonymous form or as mySupermarket Insights states elsewhere in this policy.

A User must only submit to mySupermarket Insights or the Website information which is accurate and not misleading and he or she must keep it up to date and inform mySupermarket Insights of changes. This is essential to enable us to comply with our duty to maintain accurate data. By submitting information in respect of the User and User Organisation, the User must ensure that he has full authority and consent to supply mySupermarket Insights with that data on behalf of the User Organisation and the User warrants to mySupermarket Insights that he or she has that authority.

mySupermarket Insights keeps track of User's emails and contacts with User support, so that it can provide Users with a responsive and efficient service.

mySupermarket Insights collects and may display or use for the purposes of marketing and advertising the Website, Service or mySupermarket Insights any testimonials a User or User Organisation provides about the Website, the Service or mySupermarket Insights and mySupermarket Insights may append to the testimonial a User's first name (but not surname) and User Organisation.

If the User has been referred to mySupermarket Insights by another website, mySupermarket Insights may keep a record of the website that referred the User so that it may work out which websites refer more or less users to the Website. mySupermarket Insights may also have referral arrangements with websites and referrers and it may use this data to fulfil obligations that it may have to these websites or referrers.

mySupermarket Insights collects and tracks statistical non-personal information about the actions of anyone visiting the Website for the purpose of business research and for the general improvement of the Service.

mySupermarket Insights collects and tracks personal information about use of the Website (which it will never disclose to a third party) for the purpose of improving that user's or user account's experience of use of the Website and to offer extra services related to use of the Website.

Generic data

mySupermarket Insights may aggregate and anonymise data relating to Users or User Organisations so that the aggregated and anonymised data does not identify the User or User Organisation. mySupermarket Insights may supply that aggregated and anonymised data to any third party without recourse to the User or any other user.

Third parties

mySupermarket Insights will never sell or rent a User's personal data to anyone else for their marketing purposes without the User's consent.

mySupermarket Insights may pass User details to its agents and subcontractors to help it with any of its uses of User data set out in this Privacy Policy. For example, mySupermarket Insights may use third parties to provide it with marketing or User service assistance. mySupermarket Insights may also pass User details to other companies in its group.

mySupermarket Insights may send User information internationally including to countries outside the European Economic Area. Some places outside of the EEA may not have adequate data protection laws at all or may offer differing levels of protection of personal information which are not as high as in the UK. By submitting data to mySupermarket Insights, each User acknowledges that provided mySupermarket Insights has used a User's data in the ways set out in this Privacy Policy, it cannot be held responsible for any use of a User's data by third parties who receive and process that User's data.

mySupermarket Insights may exchange information with third parties for the purposes of fraud protection. mySupermarket Insights may transfer its databases containing Users' personal information if it sells its business or part of it. mySupermarket Insights may also disclose a User's personal data to third parties without obtaining that User's prior consent if it is required to do so by law.

The Website may contain advertising of third parties and reference to third party service providers. Please be aware that mySupermarket Insights is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third parties or other Websites, nor for any third party to whom mySupermarket Insights transfers a User's data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Information mySupermarket Insights sends Users

Please note that mySupermarket Insights may e-mail or telephone Users for the following purposes:

1. as part of the Service. mySupermarket Insights may send emails to Users after registration by a User to notify the User of their registration details or to let the User know more about the Service. mySupermarket Insights may also email User's with details of new features that have been added to the Service.
2. to provide additional information about mySupermarket Insights, promotions, further events, newsletters and anything related to other companies within mySupermarket Insights's group or its business partners; and
3. to offer related services to Users.

If a User would prefer not to receive any of this additional information as detailed in the above paragraph (or any part of it) the User should send mySupermarket Insights an appropriate e-mail to insights@mysupermarket.co.uk or write to mySupermarket Insights at the above address specifying which information the User does not wish to receive. Unless User is using the Service subject to a Subscription Package, within 7 working days of receipt of the User's instruction mySupermarket Insights will cease to send that User information as requested. If the User's instruction is unclear mySupermarket Insights will cease to send the User all information referred to in the above paragraph. In terms of any marketing emails mySupermarket Insights may send, it will always give Users the chance to opt-out (or unsubscribe) from any marketing email from mySupermarket Insights in the future.

Security

The personal information which mySupermarket Insights holds will be held securely in accordance with its internal security policy and the law.

Technology

mySupermarket Insights uses "cookies" and "flash cookies" and similar technology (all of which we call "Access Files") to store data in Users' computers using the functionality of their browsers. A lot of websites do this, because Access Files allow the website publisher to do useful things like find out whether the computer (and probably its user) has visited the Website before and to check that a user is authorised to properly access different parts of a website or service.

Users can usually modify their browsers to prevent Access Files use - but if Users do this the Service (and the Website) will not work properly. The information stored in the Access Files is used to identify the User. This enables mySupermarket Insights to operate an efficient service and to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to the Website and to check that a particular user is accessing the Service (and the Website) properly.

This Privacy Policy

Please note that this Privacy Policy forms part of the Terms & Conditions for use of this Website and forms part of the Agreement between the User and mySupermarket Insights. The terms defined in those Terms & Conditions are used in the same way in this Privacy Policy. Updates to this Privacy Policy are dealt with in the same way as in those Terms & Conditions.

Changes

Any material changes to the way in which mySupermarket Insights uses User's data will be described in future versions of this Privacy Policy. Each time you enter the Website or use the Service, a User agrees that the Privacy Policy current at that time shall apply to all information which mySupermarket Insights holds about that User.

Consent

By submitting data to mySupermarket Insights and using the Website, a User consents to mySupermarket Insights's use of his or her data and of the User Organisation in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy (as amended) and the User is responsible for ensuring that he or she has authority to consent on behalf of your organisation.
