How to use this report to track Price vs. Market Share for any brand
The "Brand Price Impact" report brings together the price and promotion of your
brand with changing Market Share. It is the quickest and easiest way to see how
the changing price or introduction of a promotion can impact on your Market Share.
The quick guide below highlights all the handy features that will help you keep
track of the performance of both your brand and your competitors both in terms of
Price and Market Share.
- The blue line shows the Price Trend. It is an average price of all SKUs within the brand on that specific week.
- The green line shows the Market Share. This is calculated through purchasing trends of the mySupermarket.co.uk panel.
- The Market Share line can be calculated either according to Value or Units.
- Roll your mouse over the blue circles or the green dots in the graph to see a tooltip of the average price and market share that week.
- Switch between the four supermarkets (Tesco, ASDA, Sainsbury's and Ocado) to view the Price and Market Share trend for the selected supermarket.
- Change the time period to either show "Last 13 weeks" or "Last 52 weeks".
